Applied Behavioral Analysis (ABA) is an evidence-based scientific approach that focuses on an individual's interactions and responses within their environment. It aims to foster the development of new skills and understand unfavorable behaviors.
Through research-based interventions, behavior therapists offer constructive alternatives to minimize undesirable behaviors, enhance communication, improve social interactions, and strengthen life skills for individuals we serve.
At Kindheart, we prioritize assent-based learning. We believe every child has the right to engage in or withdraw from an activity. Our therapists are trained to recognize signs of distress, boredom, or disengagement, and offer alternative learning activities accordingly. Our primary goal is to ensure children have fun while acquiring crucial skills for the most independent life possible.
Family involvement is key to success. We maintain daily communication with family members, focusing on the skills most important to you. We aim to ensure all family members feel comfortable and have the opportunity to actively participate in the process.
